Agronomist Wilson E. Judice of St. Mary Parish joined the American Sugar Cane League agronomy staff in April 2018. He monitors the primary and secondary seed increase stations in the Bayou Teche and northern parish sugar belt regions. He earned his Bachelor (2003) and Master’s degree (2005, weed science) from LSU.

Judice has an extensive sugarcane background. After earning his Bachelor (2003) and Master’s degrees in agronomy (2005, weed science) from Louisiana State University, he returned to Franklin, St. Mary Parish where his family has been producing sugarcane for six generations. He has farmed full-time for the last 13 years.

He is active in the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation, the American Society of Sugar Cane Technologists and the Ag Leaders of Louisiana Alumni Association. He currently serves on the LSU AgCenter St. Mary and Iberia Row Crop Advisory Committee and the St. Mary 4-H Advisory Committee. He is also a commissioner for the St. Mary Parish Fire Protection District Number 2 and a director of First South Farm Credit ACA.
